Musikmesse 2013

The Musikmesse in Frankfurt is the largest music and pro audio convention in Europe – in fact, it’s larger in size than the NAMM show! Enormous hall after hall of gear, instruments, accessories, spare parts, demonstrations, performances, sausages, expensive soft drinks, prize draws, marketing leaflets, branded bags and German beer. It’s a real experience for all the senses. You need comfortable shoes, a lot of patience, decent tolerance to alcohol and love for music – the Messe will give you the rest.

I try to do my best to Instagram anything exciting and wonderful but there is absolutely no way to cover it all. Four days of the show are simply not enough to cover all the halls, chat to the manufacturers and try the brilliant equipment. You simply have to target your interests as selectively as possible.
